Stanley Bike Rentals – Rental Waiver and Release Agreement

This Waiver and Release Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Stanley Bike Rentals (the "Company") and the undersigned customer ("Customer") for the use of bicycles, electric bikes, and electric scooters (collectively, "rental equipment") provided by the Company. By signing this Agreement, the Customer acknowledges receipt of the rental equipment as described in their order and agrees to the following terms:

1. Rental Terms

1. I agree to operate the bicycle, electric bike, or electric scooter in a safe, responsible, and lawful manner.

2. I understand that wearing a helmet is my responsibility, and that Stanley Bike Rentals will not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or legal penalties (including tickets or fines) resulting from my failure to wear a helmet.

3. I agree to follow all local and provincial traffic laws, regulations, and rules while using the rental equipment. I understand that any fines, citations, penalties, or legal consequences incurred due to traffic violations or illegal use are my sole responsibility, and no liability shall be held against Stanley Bike Rentals.

4. I will return all rental equipment in the same condition as when received, normal wear and tear excepted.

5. I agree to be financially responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the rental equipment and authorize Stanley Bike Rentals to charge my credit card for such costs.​

2. Waiver and Responsibility​

1. I voluntarily waive all claims against Stanley Bike Rentals for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by me or any person I allow to use the rental equipment. 

2. I accept full responsibility for the use of the rental equipment by myself and any individual I authorize to operate it.

3. Operational Responsibility

1. If I notice any mechanical issues, discomfort, or problems during my rental period (including low battery, flat tires, or broken parts), I understand it is my responsibility to contact Stanley Bike Rentals immediately and report the issue. Failure to do so may result in me being held fully responsible for any resulting damages or complications.

4. Additional Acknowledgements

1. I confirm that I have no medical or physical condition that would prevent me from safely operating a bicycle, electric bike, or electric scooter.

2. I understand that Stanley Bike Rentals does not provide insurance coverage for any injuries or damages I may incur or cause. I am responsible for carrying my own insurance coverage.

3. I accept full and complete liability for all risks, including serious injury, death, or property damage, arising from my use of the rental equipment—whether caused by my actions or the actions of others.

4. I agree to comply with all terms and conditions as outlined by Stanley Bike Rentals.
